I do not have older siblings and my friends in school didn't have older siblings either. While I sort of resent the comment about poor musical tastes (I'm a Stones fan after all...),

Wow, hold on there my friend.... First, I never wrote that; nor do I think Limeginer meant it in such a negative way, either. But I do agree with what she was saying in general when it came to the early '60s, as there was no question that kids without older siblings weren't as exposed to the new rock sounds (and it showed). That was the case and it was something I realized many years ago. Heck, I noticed it even back then. You noted early on in this thread that you were not old enough in the early '60s to be exposed to all of that, so there is no need to feel resentment towards me or anybody else. I myself was talking about something that happened before your time, and I did note that it was a fact for that time period.
