Yet life goes on and the garage people gloat as they lovingly caress their automatic door openers.

I got a garage and it is the best thing for my aging Toyota, with the cold winter nights we got here. My cat loves to hang in it too, since he is a house cat and that is his escape (if you let your cats outdoors here, they might live to be 5 or 6 if they are lucky, as they are dinner to some of the wildlife we have running about)..... But the automatic door opener thing is a sore issue for me. About 3 years ago the lock on the garage door jammed, so they had one of those openers on sale at the time and my best friend says he will install it for me. Well I got it, and he could not figure out how to install it (yet he somehow built his own home himself), nor could two other friends, and there is no way in hell I could, as home improvement isn't a top field for me. So to this day that stupid thing sits in the box it came in, and only my daughter and I know how to get the broken garage door to open.
