I agree Jimmy Joe. Both groups had, of course, incredible creativity. And they also worked hard to make things sound right in the studio or on stage.
When I think of technical ability I think of groups like RUSH, whose musicianship surpasses almost every band in history. Its amazing that just 3 guys produce all the sounds you hear in Rush, with very few additional personnel. But in terms of creativity and pure genius, Rush can't hold a candle to the Beatles and the Stones.
