Donnie Osmond's cover peaked at #1 in 1971

One of the all time worst covers put put by anybody and the worst #1 cover perhaps of all time! I wanted to gag whenever I used to hear it, and thank goodness I haven't heard it since about 1972 or so. I mean, that silly Mormon even went and changed the words to the song to cleaner crap like: "I'm dating somebody else and I must be true"... Why didn't he just change it to: "I'm dating my cousin and I must remain (a) true (virgin)".
