Those songs are only vaguely familiar to me. By the way, Steve Lawrence has an awesome voice as did his partner Eydie Gorme. "Steve & Eydie" as they were known followed Sinatra on tour more than once and sang great medleys with him. They were often made fun of on shows like SNL or SCTV for being kind of schmalzty or corny, and perhaps sucking up to Frank, but they really were fantastic vocalists.
My first records -- probably records made just for kids, xmas records, stuff like that.
But then I started getting gifts in the form of those K-Tell or Polydor records, LPs with a slate of the years past AM radio hits. I loved those records, even though today I would rarely listen to those songs. But they did get me into Rock n Roll
