I think it was the 9.14 rating I didn't get really, and it still leaves me wondering why you would give a rating that isn't a rating on your scale
But it is on my scale! Plus that question is easy to answer. I don't just look at the LP and give the album a 9.14 rating, there's more to that.
Let me explain this going by my new rating for SG, since I just did that one and the paper I wrote the new ratings down on is still sitting right in front of me. This is how I do it.... As I play the songs on the album I rate each song one at a time and write down the rating I give each song. Then after the LP is over, I add up each rating for each song and that comes to 90.5. Then I divide that number by 10 (since there's 10 songs on the LP) - and that comes to a overall rating of 9.05! If I was rating this LP at the Classic Rock Site - then I would round it off to an overall rating of 9.1, but then again, no, not at the Stones site, since I've never done that at this site. But that's where the overall rating for each album comes from - math. Go ahead and add up each one of the songs' ratings on any album rated on my domain - and you will see for yourself that every single LP's overall rating will come out to whatever the math comes out to! So that's where the final rating comes from. Plus yes, that rating of 9.05 - or 9.14 for that matter - is covered on my rating scale page, as it falls under the 8 to 10 slot - and it does have a explanation on that very page that explains all of this, too.
