I'm just browsing your board - but let me fill in what might be a gap here: What you have is probably an SACD _only_ disk. The ones that have been discussed here by Cardinal Fang are known as HYBRID Disks - they have two layers, as he said, CD and SACD. The SACD _only_ disks will NOT play in your regular CD player. There should be some notation on the disk - I think it says something like: "this disk will only play on a SACD player." So until you get your SACD player, make sure you pick up Hybrid disks. (But many titles will start coming out on SACD _only_ disks.) Good news is the ABKCO Stones remasters will be on Hyrid disks. And I've heard some - I'm what you would consider lay person and I think the sound is amazing. (there was a Home Electronics show in New York at the beginning of June - when the press announcement was made and there were some demos of the music.) :-)))
