But wasn't "In the Light" played live on the 1973 tour? That would mean it wasn't one of the new songs... I got to see that '73 tour - at MSG, and recall them playing it that night. Then again I also saw them in '75 at the same venue and I could be getting my tours mixed up, too.
Also on a side note about the LP, it's cover - of that building which is located in lower Mattantan, is the very same building shown in the Stones video "Waiting on a Friend", in the beginning where MJ is waiting on Keith along with Jimmy Cliff... Plus the building was first used in and shown in the late '60s Roman Polanski movie Rosemary's Baby, too, where Rosemary's kid Adrian, is the son of the Devil. So the devil's kid was born in that building, LOL! I used to always give my son's mother a hard time with the name "Adrian", since she named him that and my kid hated that name, and he would come home from school and say to me "this kid said that I got a girl's name". So I would give his mom shit for that and tell her she named him after the devil, because of that movie, and I hated that name too.
