Well there is obviously a short some where. even if you have just a bad connection on the one outlet on the power strip, movement can make a connection again. Might be a pain to do but I suggest plugging that receiver into a completely different outlet. Probably be easier with an extension cord so you don't have to unplug and replug a bunch of different components. just be sure to at least use a 16 gage cord. you know one of them bright orange multi length suckers.
