"Hyacinth House" is one of The Doors most beautiful songs.

I think the lyrics are about J.M. being a star and therefore recognizable in public, and needing to be just another person:

I need a brand new friend who doesn't bother me

I see the bathroom is clear

I think that somebody's near

I'm sure that someone is following me, oh yeah

One thing about The Doors, they do have a lot of great album cuts, my favorites are this one, and this one which I played to death when this album, their 3rd, was new.

Then we got their first album.

When I got older and was buying my own records, I bought their 4th, "Soft Parade" which I really dug! 🤗

Their 5th one is really not bad, but, I don't know, it just never fully clicked with me. Seems to lack that charisma that their other albums had.

But they rebounded very nicely with "L.A. Woman". 😃
