Brainbell Jangler, you must be one or two years older than me (1956). I may be a tad younger than you, but what I lacked in age I made up for in effort! Thanks for bringing up those wonderful memories. Of course they are never far away, but your description is so close to mine it brought it all back even stronger. It was Budweiser for me though.
My first year in college was 74.
I did not get turned onto the Stones until "Sticky Fingers" We had Junior High School so I was a ninth grader. If I remember right, before then we listened to "Woodstock," of course, so I was turned onto all those bands. But I think The Allman Brothers, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, "Live at Leeds," Joe Cocker and a band called Savoy Brown, I cannot remember the others. Do you remember a band named Poco? I remember blasting "The Star Spangled Banner" by Hendrix out my window early in the morning on July 4th causing a ruckus in my neighborhood. We used to freak out late at night to "Careful With That Axe Eugene" on "Ummagumma" by Pink Floyd. Remember that? I was in the front row of a Johnny Winters concert doing acid. He freaked me out! Then I found the Stones...
Sorry you got me all nostalgic.
Is Undercover going to cry in his pillow tonight, Ronnie?
Love that Keno said I could use Ronnie at the end of my posts!
