Parlin (elevation 7,933 feet / 2,418 meters) is an unincorporated small community in Gunnison County, Colorado. The town was named in 1876 after local rancher John Tufts Parlin while the local hot springs, Waunita Hot Springs is named after Parlin's niece, Waunita.

Climate type for this town is Continental Subarctic, and the town is dominated by the winter season, a long, bitterly cold period with short, clear days, relatively little precipitation mostly in the form of snow.
