I'll start with who they are. Brad Whitford of Aerosmith Fame and Derek St. Holmes of Ted Nugent Fame pretty much got fed up with their respective bands. Whitford split Aerosmith after "Night in the Ruts" album. He was fed up with the bullshit of Joe Perry leaving months prior but got sent over the edge when Steven Tyler picked Jimmy Crespos' guitar solo over Whitfords. Crespo was who replaced Joe Perry. BTW I pull this information from the liner notes of Aerosmiths' "Pandoras Box" CD set. (By memory though)
Derek St.Holmes sang all those great high note songs attributed to Nugent. 'Just what the Doctor Ordered' 'Need you bad' 'Stranglehold'....The majority of those hits from the 70's into the 80's was St.Holmes singing. What frosted St.Holmes arse was that he was not listed as the singer on those songs. Just the "Rhythm Guitar player" Kinda of Dickey IMHO. Song writing credits? Dunno.
What I don't know is how they got together to record the album. I'm pretty sure they where on different labels. I dig the album. Would tote to parties where it was designated to the record player in the smaller room back in the 80's. BTW I caught them last year on a reunion tour at a small venue just outside Philly. Wasall that. I've seen the Album in CD form on Ebay, but as an "import" and I'm not convinced it's not a pirate copy.
