.... maybe not a UK single, actually I'm not sure if it was or not, and I didn't say it was. But, it was most definitely released by the band as a single, with "Poison Ivy" as its b side, in at least a few other countries, and it also charted. It was never a favorite song of mine either, but a single it was, and for this poll all of the singles that they released and charted are being rated first, followed by their other songs in the future. I figure that's the best way to do this instead of starting with all the single song releases followed by the rest. This way we 're get into other later day songs after a while and then in time come back to the early ones again after that.
I'm very surprised at how well this song is doing in the poll so far, I gave it an 8 myself and I was being generous. BTW, I had to use something for the photo, and the only thing I could find was what you saw. I did find a photo of the single disc itself, but felt that would be boring to have up on top of the page, a photo of the band always gets more attention, so I went with what I could find, photo wise.
The thing with the cello poll, is not only is there extremely close voting for 80% of the songs listed, but all of the songs in the Top 10 as I type this out, are either by the Stones, Beatles, or ELO! That's it! I've never seen anything like this before! But like I noted, it's a holiday week in the U.S. and weird voting patterns take place on big holiday weeks. Oh well, I noticed a bit of a shift in the vote in the last day, but I got a feeling there might be a lot of ties when this one ends. I just hope not!
So, Thanksgiving Eve is here and I'm usually baking pies at this time on this night, but not this year, as I already have way too much food to fix for only a few people. Looks like it's just gonna be me, the grandson, his girlfriend, and her little brother here, and that's it, since my daughter and her old man canceled this morning, as both of them are too afraid to go anyway, with both of them in bad health. Since my health isn't too great either, my grandson asked if maybe we should cancel, since he doesn't want to expose me to anything himself. But I had to visit the hospital on Tuesday once again and he's my ride there, so like I told him, if he infected me in the last day, or even in the last 2 weeks, it's too late now to do anything. But heck, who's to say I haven't infected him? But they test you at the hospital before you are allowed to enter, and cases are very low in this part of Colorado. The hospital I was at is a large one and serves a large area, yet they only had one COVID patient there on Tuesday. In Colorado, it's mainly all up around Denver and north of here in a few of the ski towns, that's it. So I got to deal with this other crap I'm going through now and I'm just glad my kid is by my side since I don't really have anybody else to be with me.
Anyway, this is gonna be one very empty Thanksgiving with only 4 of us here, plus the U.S. really doesn't have anything to be thankful for, other than that piece of shit trump will be out of office in the new year. That's really the only good thing to happen all year in this country. But still, it's a big holiday for the U.S. and everybody will at least try to have a good time, even if they are telling us all to only to have dinner this year with those who you live with.
Happy Thanksgiving (anyway) everybody!
