It was July 4th, 1972. I was driven to the show by my cousin who was 19 years old. We drove from Alexandria, VA to RFK Stadium in a VM Bus!! Those were the days. I was just 14 years old and it was my first rock and roll concert. Steve Wonder opened and the Stones took forever to come on stage. Finally at around 9:15pm they took the stage. They played for about one hour and 15 mins. It was the most intense 75 minutes of music I ever heard. Blown away by Keith, Mick T., Mick J. and how great Charlie and Bill sounded as the rhythm section. Jagger gave 110% and was sweating and drying himself off with a towel after every song.
My seats were in the nose bleed upper deck section of RFK stadium. Absolutely shitty seats. But the sound was pretty good and the memories will last me a lifetime.
I was a Stones fan for life after that show. Imagine seeing them (at the tender age of 14) at the Stones peak!!
