Silverthorne is the second most populous town in Summit County, Colorado. The population of the town is 4,402 at the 2020 census, and it sits at 8,789 feet above sea level (2,6791 meters). Silverthorne is known for some of its popular attractions, which include: Lily Pad Lake, Ice Castles, Blue River Trail and Rainbow Park. Silverthorne has a highland-influenced subpolar climate with warm summer days, cold nights year round, as well as cold and snowy winter days. Average annual snowfall is 106.1 inches (269.4 cm). Its all time record high temp is 99°F (32°C), set on June 21, 2012, and it's coldest ever temperature was −46°F (−43°C) set on a very cold Xmas Eve (December 24) in 1923.
