Nederland is a small town located in the foothills of southwest Boulder County, Colorado. As of the 2020 US Census, it had a population of 1,471. The town was renamed by Dutch miners in 1874 for their native land, the Nederlands, in Western Europe. But "Nederland" translated to American English means "low land", ironic, considering that the town's elevation is at 8,235 feet (2,510 m) while most locations in the Netherlands are near or even below sea level. The cam's view rotates to different positions starting with the creek view to the southwest showing some of the runs at the Eldora Ski area visible. Next up is the northwest view with Niwot ridge and some of the Indian Peaks view are visible.
Eldora Mountain Resort is a ski area in the southwest corner of Boulder County, Colorado, near the unincorporated community of Eldora and 3 miles (5 km) west of the town of Nederland. Eldora Mountain Resort is one of a few Colorado ski resorts on the east side of the continental divide. The resort caters mostly to day skiers and snowboarders.
