Whenever a "normal" person dies it isn't news to anybody but the person's family and friends, and you never hear about it in the news. So it was nice of you HR to write about her passing.... Today (the 14th) was my late wife's birthday, and I always remember her on this day, as does her kids. Yet the grandkids who she loved so much, don't remember her Bday. I asked the grandson tonight if he knew what today was, and he didn't. He was only 10 when she died 8 years ago, but at least he does remember her. But she was my soulmate and I'll never forget her to the day comes around when it's my turn to leave this game we call life.
