What if 20 years ago you were told that...

.....by 2019 sales of compact discs, as a format, would have been in decline for years, and yet there had been an increase in sales of LPs and even a slight increase in the sales of Cassettes. Surely you would think that was crazy. And yet today, in North America, less than 25% of music purchases are on a physical format. Surprisingly, in Japan, physical formats are still doing great and account for 80% of music sales.

Just recently the Grammy album of the year nominees were announced and some nominated albums re actually NOT on CD.

Me, I still like physical formats for my favorite stuff. I'll buy songs on iTunes but I want the physical versions of great albums.
