Beaver Creek Resort is a major ski resort  2 miles south of Avon, Colorado. Base: 8,100 ft (2,470 m); Summit: 11,440 ft (3,490 m); Vertical Rise: 3,340 ft (1,020 m).

Avon is located in Eagle County, Colorado. The town population was 6,072 at the 2020 U. S. Census. It's about two miles (3 km) south of Beaver Creek Resort at 7,989 ft (2,435 m)

Edwards a hamlet in the valley of the Eagle River and extends southwards up the valleys of Lake Creek and Colorow Creek, at the north end of the Sawatch Range

Dowds Junction acts as a pinch point for traffic and is located between the towns of Eagle-Vail and Vail with an elevation of 7,720 feet.
