ROLLING STONES LYRICS
Recorded in October & November of 1980. Released on the album Tattoo You on August 24, 1981. Keith and Ronnie never showed up on the day this session took place since Mick had noted to them he was just looking over old songs for the upcoming new album to possibly use. Since the other 2 Stones were in the studio already, Mick decided instead to work on a brand new song he had written, and they did. A month later when they were to finish up the track, Keith and Ronnie never got around to adding in their guitars to it, so Mick decided to add in his own guitar to the song, along with some guitar work that Bill had played in the first take of "Heaven" a month earlier, and the ditty was then finished up without the band's two main guitar players working on it. In the end, "Heaven" was the only original song that was recorded for the Tattoo You album. Although some claim that "Neighbours", was also a new tune, too, well no, it wasn't. While it was mainly worked on at the Tattoo You sessions (all of the other older songs on the LP were reworked on at these sessions), it also had been first worked on a few years earlier, so, "Neighbours" was just another old song finished for the LP, and nothing more. Vocals & Electric Guitar: Mick Jagger; Electric Guitar, Synthesizer & Bass Guitar: Bill Wyman; Drums: Charlie Watts. HEAVEN
Smell of you baby, my senses, my senses be praised
Kissing and running, kissing and running away
Your my saving grace, saving grace
