Westhampton is a hamlet in the Town of Southampton, in Suffolk County, New York. The population was 3,621 at the 2020 census. It's elevation is 36 feet (11 meters). Westhampton is one of the most expensive places to live in New York and it's considered the prettiest town in the Hamptons. The beaches here are accessed via the drawbridge over Moriches Bay, and Dune Road is the centerpiece of the community. It boasts some of the most beautiful and restored barrier beaches on the East Coast. Compared to the more eastern, densely crowded towns in the Hamptons, Westhampton maintains a charming, small-town, family-friendly resort feel.
