I think you're wrong. Shemp was an original Stooge, and he's a funny guy. The original Curly replaced him. Maybe you're thinking of Curly Joe Durea, who wasn't funny at all.
That said, I still like Ron Wood. I like Mick Taylor, too. And Ron Wood is on four absolutely ass kicking Stones albums, Tattoo You, Voodoo Lounge, Some Girls and Stripped. Mick Taylor is on Exile On Main St., Get Your Ya Ya's Out and Sticky Fingers, and a token appearance on Let It Bleed. Granted, none of Wood's stuff is as good as Exile, but then nothing is. It's just a slightly different kind of Stones, but at least they stay fresh.
