: After the recent string of posts, I'm reluctant to watch LSTNT. Should I really give it a try?
Absolutely....I think maybe some people misunderstood my post. I don't like the way the flick was put together...it could have been much better. That said, it's still a Stones concert film. I mean, the Stones are kickin' it live, so how bad could it be right? I never said that I don't like the movie, I just don't like what Hal Ashby did to it.
: I want to get Sympathy, but I will have a remote handy for fast-forwarding.
Good idea.
: I tried watching Performance once, but I couldn't get past the first 15 minutes because it was so fucked up. When does Mick come in? That way, I can cue up the VCR to just tape him.
I agree with Keno, watch the whole thing. Memo From Turner is waaaaaayyy cool.
:I want a copy of Cocksucker Blues and Ladies and Gentlemen. Cocksuker Blues has it's moments...it also has a lot of dull stretches, a fine documentary of life on the road....a couple hours of jamming, way more hours of killing time in rinky dink hotel rooms. Ladies and Gentlemen, if you can find a decent copy, is what a concert film should be...a concert. And a great one at that.
Ain't No Hanging Matter...
