In 1977 I was hangin at a friend's house and he was spinning some of his brother's albums including Hot Rocks. I knew some of the classics, but I remember thinking that they had so many songs I had never heard at that time. Midnight Rambler really stood out.

So I goes to the local Record Town and browse thru the Stones bin and WOW -- they've got more albums that just about everyone too. So I got Hot Rocks.

Then Some Girls hit the airwaves, and I picked that up. And it sounded entirely different than Hot Rocks -- man these guys can do it all.

So I got a new stereo so I could really enjoy the tunes and, of course, if you buy a new set you have to buy a new album. SO I got Love You Live since it was voted best R&B album by Creem magazine. And WOW, they play great live too (lil' did I know).

So then I hooked up with this girl in high school that was also into the Stones. She and her brothers were going to see them in Buffalo on the 4th of July and I wanted to go so bad, but the parents said no.

Then came the bitter disappointment of Emotional Rescue, followed quickly by the excitment of the '81 tour and Tattoo You. Once I got into college, I poured every spare nickle into the Stones.
