I would get Muddy at Newport, Robert Johnson's King of the Delta Blues Singers(a little more accessible than the boxed set, which has an odd sequencing that places alternate takes right after the official cut, resulting in several songs appearing twice in a row), but MOST IMPORTANTLTY, I would get the Wolf's "Real Folk Blues" on Chess. It is a fabulous one album collection of early to mid-period singles with some scorching guitar by Willie Dixon.
