RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: What shows are you going to?

I'm passing up the Denver show this year, even if I could have gotten great tickets, since in part like manny, I now live 4 hours away from that city, and I hate long drives, too. But my health issues get in my way big time, and they will more than likely remain a permanent part of me for the rest of my life - unless I undergo a third surgery (which has a less than 50 -50 chance of helping me anyway). So that stands in my way of most fun things I wish to do these days.... But then there's also the insane high amount they charge for tickets. For the shows they put on today for men in their mid 70s, there's just no way they are worth that much money! IMO, they are ripping off us fans charging us that much. Just because they can - doesn't mean they should! They should give us fans - who are the reason why they are so rich, a break! Yeah, I could have gotten up close seats on the field for this show with my connections (never did find out how close to the stage, as I didn't wish to know exactly what I was passing up), but I was looking at about $650 for one seat! That is not scalper prices, even if it sounds like it is, but is what the Stones insiders are paying for upfront tickets at this venue. Insane! They were't charging high prices at all back in their prime when I saw them at MSG the first time (it's funny how everybody, or most of you, recalls the dates for their first shows, I can't recall any exact show dates I've been too, and I can't tell ya how many I been to, either - or what the set lists were. Last show I saw with Kalistongue (aka Ladybear), she knowing how I was, jokingly asked me a few hours after the show, how many songs I could recall from that night, and I think I only named about half of them!). I just never can recall stuff like that, but I do recall the great times I always had at the shows, too. For dates, I can get within a year or 2 of recalling them, so my first show was around 1971. It was when they played a few shows at the Garden in NYC, and they played 2 shows on the day I went. The shows were all played around July 26, too, since that is MJ's birthday and they played the shows on and around that date. Why I can recall their birthdays is beyond me - sometimes I may be a day off at most with that, and I'm the same way with my kids' and other family members birthdays, too. In a way it's like recalling the years for the shows I've seen them play in. I'm usually only a year off at most! The last time they played in Denver, I was there, but I can't recall the year for sure! I'm thinking it was '05, or '06 maybe? The last few shows we had Gasser get togethers before and after the shows, and I saw Maxmeister and his late wife at a few of those shows, so maybe he knows the dates. Am I close on those dates (well years), Max?
