Did Nirvana influence the Rolling Stones?

I was just reading an interview with Mick Jagger where he says he does't really care for Nirvana, but he did like Pearl Jam. Yet I seem to recall an interview just before the release of Voo Doo Lounge where either Mick or Keith said that Nirvana actually influenced the sound of VL. Does that ring a bell to anyone? Or am I experiencing some variation of the "The Mandela Effect"
