Laura wrote several big hits and was a wonderful songwriter! A few that most remember are: "Wedding Bell Blues", "Stoned Soul Picnic", "Sweet Blindness", "And When I Die"; "Eli's Comin' ".

Her most interesting thing was to come up with new words just for her songs, like in the lyrics to the hit "Stoned Soul Picnic". What the heck does "surry" mean, Ronnie? "Can you surry, can you picnic?"; "Surry down to a stoned soul picnic" "Surry on soul" "Surry, Surry, Surry, Surry".... When asked what it meant, her answer was, "I have no clue, it's just a nice word"

She died at such a young age after losing her battle with cancer.
