RE: RE: Steel Wheels and Voodoo Lounge

Neither album is in my top 5, as I suspect would be the case with all of us. But I do love both albums.

Now... a couple of weeks ago I might have been heard here defending albums like Dirty Work. But let me say that BOTH Steel Wheels and Voodoo Lounge are leagues above that album. While I enjoy even the lesser works of the Stones, these 2 albums in question here are in the mid range of my ranking of all their albums, and both contain some real gems. I have a hard time saying which is better.

Steel Wheels: I love Sad Sad Sad, Mixed Emotions, Terrifying, Almost Hear You Sign, and Slipping Away, along with one or two other tracks.

VL: It took a long time for Love Is Strong to grow on me but it did. Baby Break It Down is awesome and Out Of Tears is very nice with Ron Wood really shining on it. I even liked the somewhat preachy Blinded By Rainbows as well as the odd sounding Moon Is Up.
