RE: stereo equipment...nsc

Depends on your budget. I would do some research online first. But you could also invest sometime and money in making a trip somewhere.

About 10-12 years ago my wife bought me a big, somewhat high end system which I love to this day and its really all I will ever need. I have seen systems that literally cost a million dollars and I can't see why anyone would need that, nor will I ever have the cash for that. But you would be surprised what you can get for just a few thousand dollars if you make the right choices.

speakers and amp are most important. Don't buy fancy cables because they really don't do much for you. High end audio dealers used to make a lot of money selling them but spending more on these does not add to your system.

as for CD players, just get something that is practical and does the job. And remember that its very possible you could not tell the difference in sound between a 50,000 dollar Burmester CD player and a 300 dollar Yamaha. So just get the player that has the features you want.
