I think aint talkin about love is a great song as i noted.And van halen certainly proved he could play on a technical level ontheir cover of you really got me,very exposive.But as far as creating riffs like richards,lennon or others did i dont hear it?I dont think van halen or the guy in def leppard ever created timeless riffs.Sure they could play well enough but to me theres no soul there like the way clapton played in cream.Bands like the stones,animals,aerosmith,cream,yardbirds played with feel.Bands like def leppard,motley crew,van halen,journey,played with no feel to it,no soul,just loud noise.
