As much as I love the White Album, I just couldn't justify paying for the extras that you get on the various box sets. I feel a general fatigue and almost disdain for the endless box sets, reissues, deluxe sets, call them what you will. Unless they offer something truly interesting and new, I'll probably pass on most of them. But there will be exceptions here and there.
If a reissue is simply remastered, or has some tracks with studio banter, and whatever else they could scrape out of vaults then I regard it mostly as a ploy. Now, add completed unreleased tracks, maybe some top notch live cuts and I do get interested.
