I agree with the need for gun control Keno e.g. why does anyone need to own a handgun?
Nobody needs a damn handgun, other than to protect themselves from those with handguns who might rob them or try to kill them out on the street.
There was an interesting interview on TV not too long ago here in the States Pluto, that I bet wasn't on in the UK, with 3 members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. It had been noted here at Gasland a few years ago in another gun debate, that these guys wrote the very strong anti gun song ".38 Special", and how that didn't make any sense since they were all gun owners. But it always made sense to me anyway. But in this new interview, the interviewer, Dan Rather, asked them about that song and the fact that they are looked at as being pro guns. Although only one of the 3 current band members being interviewed was actually in the group when that song was written (Gary Rossington), guitarist Rickey Medlocke noted (and I can't recall his exact words, but this is real close...) that while the band members were indeed pro gun (and Medlocke noted that he is a big time gun collector), that nothing has change within the band today and that they are all still anti-handgun, too. I can totally understand that and I believe a ton of gun owners (if not a majority) feel this way, including myself. I support a total ban on all handguns, just don't ever take my rifle away from me. I think when it comes to hunters here in the U.S., well they don't use handguns at all to hunt with, yet many of them are scared that banning handguns will lead to banning their riffles. That's because of the lies spread by the pigs who lead the NRA. Shut up those damn liars in the NRA and most hunters would be on board with gun control!
