He recorded it, and he put it all together, so there's no question that it was produced 100% by him alone. But nobody ever called it a solo BJ record, either, as Brian doesn't play on it. Brian finished producing it just before he died, and he had a different name he wanted it to be called - but after he died, it was the Stones who decided to use his name in the title as a tribute to him, since the LP never would have happened without his work. It was one of the only times that the Stones did something nice in BJ's name.
