School Boy Blues (AKA CS Blues) a few questions...

I don't think they've ever performed it live.

Back around '79 or '80 (?) I was in one of the several really cool record stores in the East Village in downtown Manhattan, browsing through the albums, something I really enjoyed doing.

Well, I came across this Rolling Stones 12-inch disc with only one song per side. Side 1 was" CS Blues", and side 2 was a different "Brown Sugar", the one with Clapton. BOY was I excited!!! I was aware that there was a song they recorded called 'CS BLUES' but never thought I would ever hear it.

Well well well. Here it is in my hands! It cost a big 10 dollars --- that was a lot of money. After trying unsuccessfully to bring the price down, I plucked the money down and bought it (how can I not) and couldn't wait to play the darn thing!!

It sounded spooky for sure. Jagger may have been coked up.

Was it an official release? Well, I would have to ask if it was ever released officially. What I had wasn't from Decca Records, I don't think, because it had the tongue & lips logo on the label so I don't think Decca would have that.
