I was just looking at the list of Rolling Stones concerts and I see there are none between 1982 and 1989. I do recall that they were less active for some years in the 1980s. The Steel Wheels album was regarded by many as a 'comeback', thought it was not really such. The band had never disbanded or formally retired, and only a few years prior to Steel Wheels they made Dirty Work. But there were certainly no major concert tours during this period. But I am wondering, were there any 'one off' shows or anything like that? Any birthday parties or whatever?
I was promoted to look at the list of concert tours when I listened to the No Security From The Vaults disc that I received today. Its not a bad collection at all, though it will not likely be one of the more listened to live Stones albums that I have. Heck, it seems like 1999 is not really that long ago.
