Very interesting and enjoyable read. 👍
I always wanted to be a DJ, BUT with some freedom.
I sometimes slip into reverie about winning a big lottery, purchasing a radio station, and playing what YOU happened to say in another earlier post:
Oldies = forgotten ones, rare ones, and the surface (familiar) ones too. Motown & other Soul too. And
Album cuts = No holds barred. From familiar to the deepest stuff. Hot Tuna, Quicksilver..., and mix it up with Black artists too, so the station appeals to everybody. Lots of Hippie and Psychedelic stuff.
And the DJ should be a REAL DJ, say what you play in detail. Guide us along, especially for the younger listeners. Name the album too (for the album cuts) and the year it was released. The singles should have the years stated also.
If the DJ has a talent for 'personality', even better.
