Nope, not at all! Since I grew up back east, I know for a fact that it's a lot colder in the winter there, plus you get that wet snow. Out here we don't get that crap. Dry snow isn't anywhere as bad as wet snow, and while the temps are lower here, it doesn't feel as cold since it so dry. So just like 90 degrees don't feel like 105 here like it does any place back east or down south, 10 degrees plus (F) don't feel like below zero here like it does where you live, either.
