Sessions, evil warts and all, intends to let the DOJ Russian election interference investigation proceed to it's logical conclusion. That irks Trump, who is intent on suppressing the truth to save his hide, having always relied on "fixers" to bail him out of his corrupt predicaments. Pruitt has never met a conflict of interest that he didn't like, and now he wants to be the fixer for his boss. No good would come of his becoming Attorney General.
