Well rich and some of the other jazz guys were lightening quick but i liked krupa best he was a great showman behind the kit.Morello did some awesome work with the dave brubeck band a smooth bunch of great musicians.The thing ive always liked about ringo is the unusual drum patterns someone came up with in beatle land for years.Plus he used to get a great full rich sound by muffling the kit with towels and things.If you combine jazz and rock playing mean old ginger baker just might be the best drummer to ever get behind the skins? Yeah that guy in van halen was great on those early lps but i never listened except at parties i attended because i did not like the rest of the band too much for acouple reasons.
