This is the theocratic wing of the GOP at its worst. These religious zealots intend to push U.S. foreign policy in the direction of what they consider to be Scriptural prophecy. This insanity is compounded by an "end times" mentality. Not intent ot let their deity "call the shots", they take it upon themselves to fulfill whatever prophecies they don't want to wait around for. Trump could care less about tye religious aspect, but his complicity is especially dangerous since he is both ignorant of consequence and deperate for a foreign policy "win", whatever it takes.
