English majors' -- I need your help (nsc)

I'm working on a paper and I'm pulling my hair out here!

If "peripheral vision" is side to side, then what do you call the up and down vision?

(Both horizontal & vertical without moving your eyes or head. Dictionaries tend to have conflicting meanings on 'peripheral vision'.)

I've searched extensively for a word or term to describe that up-and-down, or vertical, vision to no avail. – 😩
