It also comes up in that song by CCR, can't recall the name, but something about 'sitting by the lake in Buffalo' I think that was the lyric. Then there's that song by Willie Nelson, where he sings about him and Paul (called "Me and Paul", Paul being his drummer) getting busted in Buffalo for what was left in his hotel room.
Been to your town a few times, and me and the wife once fled Canada after we found out while there that the Stones were going to be on Saturday Night Live and we didn't know if the show was on TV in that country or not, so we were about 4 hours north of the U.S. heading in the other direction when we heard the news and turned the car around and headed for Buffalo, where we got to a motel room with less than ah hour to spare to see the show. That was I believe in '78, or '79 (when Mick licked Ronnie's face)? But by the next morning we were headed back into Canada to resume our trip.
