He was one of those guys who everybody liked since he was a good guy. Known mainly for his pop and country hits, he also had roots in rock music, especially in the early to mid '60s playing sessions with or for Bobby Darin, Ricky Nelson, Jan and Dean, Elvis Presley, and he was one of the guitarists who played on several of the early Monkees songs before they were a true band and relied on session players. He was actually a unofficial member of the Beach Boys, filling in for Brian Wilson when he was unable to play live for a couple of years. My 2 favorites songs of his were "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", and "Wichita Lineman". RIP Glen, you will be missed.
