What's most sad to me is that there is no way that the people he surrounded himself with, had to know this was going on. Not near all, but quite a few. Why didn't they turn him in?
My guess is that no, most of his friends didn't know. Think about it, we hear it all the time when somebody is arrested for something sick like this and his close friends say something along the lines of "I'm totally shocked, I never saw this in him - ever"..... My guess is there is just one exception to all of this, that being his crazy wife, I just know that she knew this was going on with him. Some people will do anything for money and she didn't want to see the gravy train ever stop, so she allowed it to take place as long as the money was there for her to spend.
