Actually, the problem of having a child like that is double in older men - but as you note, the odds are still against it happening. But still, this is your child, and considering that you more than likely aren't even going to be around to help them get through their early life before they finish growing up, well that's just one more disadvantage in their life that you are directly placing on your offspring. What parent would want that to happen to their own blood?
But your other point is valid too. Life is a special thing indeed. But only once it happens, and not beforehand. In other words, we can't think "what if" on this one. If having a child was never meant to be for a person, then that's how it turned out, how it is, and how is is suppose to happen. But having a child in your mid 70s is never meant to be, regardless of how much money you have, how famous you are, or how much of a pompous ass you might be. You are still a human being who's mortal and your life is going to end soon at that age, and IMO, you have no business in having children at that age. But when a person does have a baby in their 70s, yes, that child wants to have life as much the next person, and has every right to life once they are born, and some say even conceived.
BTW, with my comment above, I'm using my words in general and I'm not suggesting that MJ or RW are a "pompous ass". Donald Trump, who had a child pass age 60 - well he is one for sure, but not all, in fact most who have kids late in life are not such a person. But still, some old men are, and IMO, it's still wrong to have children so late in life, or any ever - if your last name is Trump.
