That was excellent, thanks for the link.
I could never stand KISS, I think they are one of the all time poorest playing bands in rock music to come out of the classic rock era. I dislike 99% of their songs that I have heard or heard just a part of. I also would think that Gene Simmons was a part of that reason, since he seemed like a phony actor to me and no more than that, a musicians who couldn't sing or play bass any good. But I also never really knew a lot about him either, since I didn't care to know anything about a guy who looks like a clown, wearing makeup all the time while sticking his tongue out at you like some moron would do.
Like steel wls, I didn't plan on watching more than a few minutes minutes of this interview. What happens often with me, since I multitask often on the computer, I started to work on something else as I listen to what Gene was saying early on and somewhere before the 4 minute mark of the interview, I ended up stop doing that other stuff I was doing, and went to the browser tap where the interview was on and actually started to watch it.
He seems like a totally true man, a good person, a guy who is for real and who feels for others. He clearly is not the asshole I thought he might be, and I should have know better than to judge a person by how they look, and I know I'm not that way with dealing with everyday, normal people. But famous rock stars, or movie stars, or sport stars, I always looked at them differently, since most of them are phonies in real life. But after seeing that I'm very impressed with him, he's for real, unlike most rockers. Plus he's for sure different, and I always liked people who are that way.
I still think KISS is a terrible band, and Gene is still a poor bass player, but I no longer think that he is an asshole. I know now that he is nothing like that at all, and I was happy to learn that. That's why I like a good link! You're never too old to learn something new in life, and although this might not be something that big to learn about, it's still a cool, good thing anyway.
