I don't think that it's necessarily 'weaker' I'm thinking about Sinatra's voice manny. There's something about it's quality that doesn't quite appeal to me in the way Tony Bennett's does, to give an example. I've wondered if it's because to me he sometimes sounds slightly flat. Probably my ear isn't so great and he always sang in tune, and was pitch perfect. So I don't know really.
