RE: RE: RE: RE:the bottom line is....

I did some reading up on this, yes, and Lennon did call it a throwaway song, Paul never did, but so what, that means totally nothing anyway, since only the finished product is what counts.

Lennon said stuff about several songs they wrote that were hits that he didn't like, but the fans liked them, and that's all what counts and matters... Artists can clearly think wrong sometimes too, think of Jagger and Richards after the wrote and recorded "Satisfaction". Both of them didn't like it a lot and didn't want it to be released as a single, they didn't think it was good enough, but they were out voted by Brian, Bill and Charlie on that, as the other 3 felt it would make for a great single, and we all know what happened when it was released as one. So I look at it in that light, a great song that one of its creators didn't realize was a great song until they gave it away to another band to have a hit with it. Then one of them says it's a throwaway after it's a hit, kinda a way of covering the fact that he gave away a great song that maybe he should have sung himself? Hey, even a genius can be mistaken once in a while! But what a great song it did turn into - and a fact it was turned into a hit proves that although John felt it was a throwaway, it clearly wasn't that at all. It was a hit single, and the Stones first hit single, so why make light of it, Ronnie?
